Broom Hall

Broom Hall is a historic country house in Staffordshire, originally built in 1600 and occupied by Colonel William Careless, who famously hid in the oak tree at Boscobel House three miles from here with Prince Charles II in 1652.

When Charles became King, he returned to reward those who helped him escape the Battle of Worcester and stayed here with his good friend William Careless.

The house was enlarged in Georgian and Victorian times.
